Computerized Classroom

Bausch & Lomb Hall is home to one of the most advanced computerized classrooms on campus. The classroom has 20 computer stations, and one instructor station, each consisting of a Macintosh powerPC CPU and a 17" monitor. Each Macintosh has a pentium DOS card build in, running windows 95, allowing the classroom to support both Macintosh and Windows based applications. Next to each computer station is a large workbench, available for the students to carry out experiments during class. The room has projection screens and a 36" projection monitor.

The computerized classroom in B&L was designed by Prof. Frank Wolfs, of the Department of Physics and Astronomy, for the course Physics by Inquiry (PHY 105), and is now used throughout the College by courses in both the sciences and the humanities.
