The River Campus, nestled in a curve of the Genesee River, is the main campus of the College of Arts & Sciences and the School of Engineering & Applied Science. The Department of Physics & Astronomy is housed in Bausch & Lomb Hall on the Eastman Quadrangle of the River Campus. The Rush Rhees Library, to the left of Bausch & Lomb Hall, is the most prominent landmark on the Eastman Quadrangle.
