- B.S., Management of Human Resources, Roberts Wesleyan College
- 1988, Joined the Department of Physics and Astronomy as Contract Administrator
- 1977, Joined the University of Rochester in the Department of Dental Research, working thereafter as a staff member of the Department of Pediatrics, then Administrator of the Department of Dermatology, and Research Administrator in the Office of Research & Project Administration.
- 2004, CLASP certification (research administration, University of Rochester).
- 1988 - Present, Member (currently Secretary, past President), "River Rats" Research Committee
- 1987 - Present, Member, National Council for University Research Administrators
