Planetarium Application

• We have built an application for use in planetariums. Planetariums provide a prime opportunity to inform people about the connection between inspiring observational visuals and the scientific conclusions that can be made from them.



• The software challenges patrons to match simulation scenarios to observations. By adjusting parameters (wind speeds, densities, disk widths, etc.) to make the simulations comparable to the images, patrons can investigate a possible description of an astrophysical situation.



• Interested patrons can navigate related additional knowledge. The software provides the ability to navigate through hypertext relating to quantities and features of the simulation, details of the observations, and the physical principles involved.
