Introduction

  • Simulations provide an engaging way to explore astrophysical fluid dynamics. They can automatically describe the consequences of interacting winds in a way that is readily visualizable.

  • Most existing simulation codes make it difficult for non-experts to set up, run, and visualize simulations. Often, manipulating such codes requires a sophisticated knowledge of physics and computer programming, which defeats the purpose of using them in outreach.

  • The Astroflow project is our effort to construct a user-interface and simulation suite which will make it much easier for non-expert simulators to interact with astrophysical fluid dynamics simulations.
