Information for My P123/143 Lab Students
I have a few different things you can access from here, as a source of
reference information about the labs. (I don't have the lab manuals
themselves on here, as you can access them either through the department's
home page or through gopher; email me if you are having trouble.) If
there's any comments you have on this material, or other things that would
be useful for me to put up here, let me know and I might just do it...
- General Information:
- My thoughts on what these labs are
all about and what's really important about them
- My policies and inclinations about
grading of the labs, for those in my sections
- New! Instructions on how to
get the lab manual sections printed out, if you're having
trouble
- Notes on specific labs:
- Experiment 11: The Speed of Sound
- Experiment 13: The Wave Nature of the
Electromagnetic Spectrum
- Experiment 12: Geometrical Optics and Imaging (not yet)
- Experiment 14: The Spectrum of Atomic Hydrogen (not yet)
- Experiment 15: The Franck-Hertz Experiment (not yet)
Note that the first two labs are going to be done at the
same time during the first two lab cycles -- we'll split up the
class in each lab section, so be thinking about which one you'd like
to do first, but be ready to do either one this coming week!
