Notes through lecture 28 are now posted on the Lecture Notes page. Problem Sets 5 and 6 are now graded. If you have a mailbox outside the Physics Department Main Office, I have returned them to you in your mailbox. If you do not have such a mailbox, please see me to pick up your problem sets.

Problem Set 5, due Wednesday, December 5 in lecture, is now posted on the Homework page. I regret that I have still not finished grading the midterm exams. They should be ready by next Monday's lecture.

Solutions to Problem Set 4 are now posted on the Homework page. Notes through lecture 18 are posted on the Lecture Notes page. Remember, the MIDTERM EXAM is this Friday, November 16, 10 am - 12 noon, in BL269. It is closed book, has three problems, and covers the material through lecture 11.

The next lecture, Wednesday, October 24, is canceled. The MIDTERM EXAM has been scheduled for Friday, November 16, from 10 am to 12 pm. The room will be announced latter. The exam will cover all material through Problem Set 3, i.e. up to but not including the macroscopic Maxwell's equations. Remember, the exam is closed book. The FINAL EXAM has been scheduled by the registrar for Thursday, December 20, from 7:15 pm to 10:00 pm in BL 269.

There will be a make up lecture (in anticipation of one I will cancel later on) this Friday, October 12, from 11 am -12:15 pm, in B&L 269. The graduate student seminar will be delayed until the end of class.
