Midterm exam is next Thursday, March 8, 9:40 - 10:55 am, in BL 315. The exam is closed book, closed notes, and covers all material up to, but not including, the grand canonical ensemble.

Note: I will be out of town next week from Tuesday noon through Sunday. I will also be away from my office Monday after 2:30. Since I will therefore miss my regular office hour next week, and as Problem Set 2 is due next Thursday, please be sure to see me on Monday, or send questions by email before Tuesday, if you need help.

The due date for Problem Set 2 has been extended to Thursday, February 22. Since lecture for that day has been canceled, please turn in your homework to the grader's (Patrick Zabawa) mailbox outside the Physics Department main office by noon.

The MIDTERM EXAM has been scheduled for Thursday, March 8, in lecture. The exam will be closed book. Note: I will be out of town all this week and the exam will be proctored by the grader. Lecture Tuesday, March 6, is canceled.
