Surface and interior cooling time for continuous cooling systems
Gold clusters with different sizes have been cooled down by continuously
rescale kinetic energy from 1500K to 300K. Bond order parameters have been
calculated for surface, sub-surface layers and bulk. The system with 561 atoms
seems to have surface cooled earlier than interior (in the sense of finishing
time), but that with 603 atoms doesn't seem to be so.
