 Problem 948 in the text. You might find it helpful to recall you earlier work on problem 822 from Problem Set 9. [15 points]

 Using the relation dervied in lecture between the acceleration as measured in the inertial fixed frame, and the acceleration as measured in the noninertial rotating frame (see Eq.(10.25) in the text), rederive your solution to problem 22 that you did in Problem Set 2. Regard the spherical coordinate basis vectors as the basis vectors of the rotating coordinate system, and proceed in a similar manner as was done in lecture to derive the expression for velocity in spherical coordinates. Hint: many of the terms in Eq.(10.25) vanish! [15 points]
