The TA evaluation earlier this semester, and the 415 course evaluation last fall, had very low response rates. It would be nice to see a larger response this time! The Midterm Exam has been graded, and you can see your grade on Blackboard. A histogram of the midterm grades can be found at the bottom of the Problem Sets page. Exams will be handed back to you in lecture on Wednesday.

Problem Set 6, due Friday April 4, is now posted on the Problem Sets page. Since this set is a bit longer than earlier ones, I have given you an extra day to work on it.

I will be unable to be at my regular office hour 2:30 - 3:30pm this Monday, March 24. If you have questions, you can come to see me Monday from 1:30 - 2:15pm, or Tuesday 2:30 - 3:30pm.
There will be make-up lectures 10:25 - 11:40am on Fridays April 18 and May 2 in BL 106.

The MIDTERM EXAM will take place on Wednesday, March 26, 9:40-11:40am, in BL 269. The exam will cover material through notes 2-15, i.e. up to but not including the grand canonical ensemble.

Lecture and office hour on Monday, February 3, are canceled due to illness. I will update you as to whether or not lecture on Wednesday will take place.
The due date for Problem Set 1 has been postponed by a week to February 13.

Sean's office hour will be be Tuesdays 2:00 - 3:00pm. Ziggy's office hour will be Wednesdays 2:00 - 3:00pm. If you wish to speak with one of the TAs, and cannot make it to their regularly scheduled office hour, please email them to arrange a meeting for another time.
The Endterm Exam for the course has been scheduled for Thursday, May 8, 12:30-2:30pm.
