Nitya serves as the president of PASSAGE and a third year Ph.D. student in the Department of Physics and Astronomy. She works with the cosmology group studying galaxy kinematics. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies and playing bass. As secretary, Nitya hopes to ensure that PASSAGE offers a variety of events which allow member to interact with each other and with the broader community.
Joel is a fourth year PhD student, and is the PASSAGE VP for fellowship. He likes jamming to songs.
Mary is a third year PhD student, and currently serves as the PASSAGE VP for Mentorship. She is a member of the Flash Center, performing computational astrophysics research. She is motivated by education and outreach, and hopes to become a tenure-track professor in the future. In her free time she enjoys swimming, playing video games with her friends, and painting.
Amy is a PhD working on astrophysics related simulations and is interested in the common envelope phase of binary stars. She joined the FLASH center in 2023 and will work on lab-astro plasma simulations. Amy is an active member of PASSAGE and coordinates outreach events for graduate students in the department. She enjoys art, reading, and singing with local choral groups.
Jessica is a third year PhD student and the PASSAGE VP of Outreach. She works in the Cooling and Trapping group studying Bose-Einstein condensates. When she’s not coordinating outreach opportunities, Jessica enjoys reading, playing games with friends, and listening to video essays while doing various other things.
Bobbie Markwick (she/they) is a fifth year PhD student working in Computational Fluid Dynamics and Information Theory. Outside of Physics, Bobbie enjoys creating music, playing D&D, and either curling or sailing depending on the season. Prior to becoming secretary, Bobbie served as President and also Vice President of Fellowship.
Trevor is a fourth year PhD student, and acts as a treasurer for PASSAGE.
