PHYS 415: Electromagnetic Theory I

Course Instructors

The instructor for this course is Prof. Stephen Teitel. Prof. Teitel has been at the University of Rochester for over 30 years. He is a condensed matter theoriest who uses large scale numerical simulations to study phase transitions in different physical systems. His recent work has been on the flow and jamming of granular materials.

We will have two Teaching Assistants for the course this semester. The TAs will be grading your homework assignments.

Sean Kelty is an 8th year graduate student in the Department working with Prof. Ghoshal in the area of Complex Systems.

Elise McCarthy is a 5th year graduate student in the Department working with Prof. Wolfs in the area of astroparticle physics.
