PHY 418: Statistical Mechanics I

Course Instructors

The instructor for this course is Prof. Stephen Teitel. Prof. Teitel has been at the University of Rochester for over 30 years. He is a condensed matter theoriest who uses large scale numerical simulations to study phase transitions in different physical systems. His recent work has been on the flow and jamming of granular materials.

The Teaching Assistant for the course this smester is Nimmy Alex. Nimmy, who will be grading your homework, is a 3rd year graduate student in the Department working with Prof. McFarland in the area of Experimental High Energy Physics.
