The Schleicher ASK-21 is a strong, rugged, composite two-seat sailplane that has excellent handling, is fully aerobatic, and has benign handling characteristics. It has a claimed maximum L/D = 35 at 46kt and minimum sink of 2.13fps at 36kt. The FLSC ASK-21 is serial number 21210 and was certified 28 March 1984. Note that the empty weight of the aircraft is 818lbs and the maximum permitted all-up weight is 1323lbs. The wings each weigh 217lbs so 4 people are recommended for assembly or disassembly.
